Create a free account, make a course for one of your subjects, and add your notes or PDFs. Lotl groups them into topics and builds a route of levels. Play a level, then read the explanation for each answer. New accounts may need to wait for access before they can start studying.

Lotl is our pink axolotl and your AI study companion. Lotl builds levels of exercises from your own course materials, explains each answer, and answers your questions in chat. AI can make mistakes, so check explanations against your materials.

You can upload PDFs and photos (JPEG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC), write or paste text notes, and import text or Markdown files into a course. The default PDF limit is 10 MB and 30 pages per file, and photos can be up to 20 MB.

Your courses, notes, PDFs, and level results are private to your account. Lotl uses your materials to write exercises and explanations, which requires AI processing. Adding friends or making your profile public does not share your course materials.

You can create an account for free. Once you have access, the Free plan includes courses, notes, PDF uploads, and levels with Lotl, with usage limits. Each answer in a level costs 1 energy, and energy refills over time. Splash and Dive give you more energy, higher daily allowances, and unlimited courses, and Dive adds voice calls with Lotl. You can find students, send friend requests, and choose whether your profile is visible to friends, everyone, or only you. Friends can see your progress and badges when your profile settings allow it. Your courses and materials stay private; shared courses and live group study are not available.
